CELEBRATING 80 YEARS OF ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS PERFORMED BY THE ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
The American Express Symphony at the Park concerts are two uniquely themed symphonic performances commemorating and charting the history of the legendary Abbey Road Studios in the majestic grounds of West London's Chiswick House and Gardens on 20 and 21 August 2011.
Join the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Crouch End Festival Chorus and guest soloists performing some of Britain’s best-loved contemporary songs and iconic film scores from Abbey Road Studios' incredible legacy. Featuring music from Braveheart, Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Beatles and Pink Floyd. Bask in the magical and picturesque surroundings of the newly restored Chiswick House & Gardens. Bring your friends, family, a picnic and rug, or choose from a mouth-watering selection of handpicked food and drink while relaxing al fresco on the grand lawn with views across the tranquil lake and imposing Chiswick House.
This year we celebrate Abbey Road Studios' 80th Anniversary and present an exclusive performance collaboration between the world's most renowned recording studio and most loved orchestra with world-class conductors Joel McNeely and Nick Ingman.
The performances will feature an exclusive orchestral arrangement of Radiohead's "High and Dry", a Jaz Coleman arrangement of "Time" by Pink Floyd and the concert premiere of Disney's Peter Pan sequel "Return to Neverland".
